Xavier University – Governance and Leadership Institute (XU-GLI) partnered with the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) in a leadership training for XU student organization presidents on May 17 at Manresa Tagbuan Center, Masterson Avenue, Cagayan de Oro City.

More than 40 budding leaders joined the workshop focusing on the formulation and evaluation of their org’s vision, mission and goals.

XU-GLI director Dr Dixon Yasay served as the resource speaker together with Student Activities and Development (SACDEV) coordinator Ritchel Petalcurin.

Yasay also discussed on Dale Burke’s model, which highlights key disciplines based on Christ's leadership style: Spirituality (Power of Convictions), Humility (Power of Servant-Leadership), Imagination (Power of Vision), Mobilization (Power of Letting Go), and Innovation (Power of Creativity).

The participants also expressed their interest to continue to the next module of the said workshop anytime during the first semester.
