Xavier University - Governance and Leadership Institute (XU-GLI) facilitated a workshop on developing the vision, mission and goals (VMG) for the faculty of Merry Child School on May 22 at Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City.

The workshop included sessions on how to improve the systems and to inculcate the core values of thr said school among its faculty members.

Team-building exercises through games (ball shooting, pipeline, and puzzle boxes, among others) aided the participants in realizing the value of teamwork toward a common goal.

The participants also identified the values that the faculty and the school must nurture to achieve the vision of becoming “a great school.”

“We are very much thankful to GLI for inspiring our teachers,” said MCS principal Maria Isabelle Salcedo. “With this, we hope to really become a great school in Cagayan de Oro.” 

GLI continues to engage in the development of organizations as part of thematic goal on governance under the Research and Social Outreach (RSO) cluster of XU.
