With the upcoming feast of Saint Ignatius less than three weeks from now, the Xavier University Chaplaincy Office launched its “Post Your Inner Iggy” campaign to honor the founder of the Society of Jesus and one of the great saints of the Universal Church.

The “Post Your Inner Iggy” campaign focuses on how all of us — employees and students  in the University practice Ignatian Spirituality in our daily lives.

Answer four questions on how you have actualized the Ignatian values of “Magis,” “Being Men and Women for Others,” “Going Where There is a Greater Need,” and “Giving up Worldly Ambitions and Disordered Attachments for God,” and you might win a specially made St Iggy baller. All you have to do is post your answers as status or picture on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #IGGYinME. You can send your answers until July 31.

Aside from this campaign, the Ignatian Prayer Circle, a self-formed faith sharing group, was also started earlier this month to further promote Ignatian Spirituality in the school community. The novena to Saint Ignatius will start on July 22 until 30.

On the feast day, July 31, the lay ministers of the University Church and the Ignatian Prayer Circle members will gather for a Eucharistic Celebration at 12 noon followed by a short program called “Iggy Day” at the Peace Park.
