Xavier University - Governance and Leadership Institute (XU-GLI) conducted a performance review workshop and benchmarking for the officials and department heads of the local government unit of Esperanza, Agusan del Sur at Forest Park, Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

The performance review workshop was aimed at assessing the existing evaluation tools in the LGU such as the Community-based Monitoring System (CBMS), Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) and the criteria for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

Using SPMS’s Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR), the workshop emphasized on solution-focused evaluation and best practices that will help deliver good service performance. Participants were encouraged to consider out-of-the-box ideas and innovations in order to better achieve their goals.

Recognizing the importance of personnel contribution to the LGU’s over-all performance, outstanding employees based on co-workers’ evaluation were recognized at the said activity.

Besides being workshop facilitator and consultant, GLI director Dr Dixon Yasay also led the participants in their benchmarking activity with the LGU of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon where participants focused on the principles behind their best practices.

Pauline Jaramillo, information officer of LGU-Esperanza said, “We are grateful to XU-GLI because with this collaboration we have seen the areas where we need to improve on so we can provide better services to our people.”
