Xavier University - Governance and Leadership Institute (XU-GLI) conducted a performance review workshop for the technical working group of the Macajalar Bay Development Alliance (MBDA) on August 14-15 at Dahilayan Forest Park, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
The workshop was aimed at reviewing the strategic goals through defining, finding and measuring results in line with MBDA’s seven strategic goals: quality capacity development, effective policy formulation, inter-local cooperation, integrated and sustainable ridge-river-reef (R3) approach management, environmentally sustaining coastal development, fund investment for ecosystem, and community empowerment.
Member local government units of MBDA also reported their performance based on the agreed measures of success and their presentations culminated with the planning for the sustainability of gains and addressing gaps.
Established in 2008, the Macajalar Bay Development Alliance (MBDA) is an inter-LGU alliance that work together for a baywide integrated coastal management where XU - McKeough Marine Center (MMC) serves as its secretariat.
XU-GLI offers workshop on organizational performance review using the Balanced Scorecard, a strategic planning and management system “used extensively to align programs and projects to the goals, vision and policies of the organization, improve internal and external communications, and monitor organizational performance.”
