The Governance and Leadership Institute (GLI) of Xavier University conducted a performance review workshop for the local government unit of Tubod, Lanao del Norte on September 1-2 at Midway Resort, Initao, Misamis Oriental.

The workshop followed Steven Covey’s "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People": being proactive, beginning with the end in mind, putting first things first, thinking win-win, seeking first to be understood, then to be understand, synergizing, and sharpening the saw.

The training participants were LGU-Tubod’s public officials, Sangguniang Bayan members, department heads, and second liners.

“I see how everyone has been so eager in the learning process and how our camaraderie has been strengthened by the workshop,” Tubod Mayor Nelieta Noval shared.

The workshop was complemented with simulation games: pipe and egg relay, shooting the ball, and deactivating bombs.

Moreover, the event included problem analysis and brainstorming exercises to effectively institutionalize the LGU’s management committee.
