The Governance and Leadership Institute (GLI) of Xavier University set the tone in the strategic planning of the Department of Health - Region 10 personnel to produce results using the Balance Scorecard (BSC) approach.

The event, held on the last week of August at Pearlmont Hotel, was participated in by municipal doctors, nurses and health workers of Region 10.

Led by their human resource development unit training specialist Millorina L Osorio, the participants came in with enthusiasm to learn and appreciate the BSC as a tool in the public sector, in formulating the key ingredients of their strategic planning and in defining their “strategy map of success.”

GLI director Dr Dixon Yasay served as the resource speaker and ushered interactive exchange of ideas during his lecture, group activities and reflection session to cater to the group’s diverse competencies.

Revisiting their office's vision, mission and goals allowed the participants to rekindle and reconnect with their office work plan, strategy map and objectives.

The participants successfully completed the training with the positive outlook towards the DOH breakthrough by 2030.
