Museo de Oro presents a contemporary art exhibit dubbed as “Peripheries,” a showcase of paintings by various artists in Northern Mindanao.
This exhibit exposes the talents and skills of our local artists who used different media and styles in an attempt to break the stereotyped art scene in Mindanao, often portrayed in the mainstream as a conflict-striken island in the Philippines.
“Peripheries” is currently exhibited at the Fr Francisco R Demetrio SJ Gallery of the Xavier University's Museo de Oro, the country's first folkloric museum.
The exhibit runs until the end of November. Museo de Oro has high hopes that through exhibits like this, the art scene in Mindanao will continue with its flourishing momentum.
