Xavier University garnered the fifth spot in secondary education and 8th place in the elementary level in the list of top ten performing schools according to the results of the most recent Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
Out of the 112 examinees from XU, 98 were successful, reaping a passing rate of 87.50% for secondary education; while 65 out of the 79 XU takers passed the LET elementary level, giving XU a passing percentage of 82.28.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) released on Monday, November 30, the list of 21,461 elementary teachers out of 68,442 examinees (31.36%) and 34,010 secondary teachers out of 81,463 examinees (41.75%) who took the LET administered last September 27 in Hong Kong and 26 testing centers across the Philippines.
In February this year, XU was hailed as one of the top 5 teacher education schools in the Philippines with 90% overall passing rate in Category A (1000+ takers) in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) from 2009 to 2014.
