The Governance and Leadership Institute (GLI) of Xavier University facilitated a training on analytical systems thinking planning and organizing for the health officers of the Department of Health – Region 10 on January 6–8 held at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The training, led by GLI director Dr Dixon Yasay, aimed at refining competencies on systems thinking and organizing to produce "Result Catch-up."

The workshop was anchored on the Five Disciplines of Learning Organizations, and mind-challenging games were given to bring out and enhance systems thinking and catch up competencies.

Heightened awareness on a single mechanism, such as one’s workplace, being a portion of greater mechanism, can bring about strategic ways on how to deal with varying situations. Moreover, productivity is improved when there is understanding of how things may be regarded as systems influencing one another within a complete entity or a larger system.

GLI continues to engage in capacitating organizations and local government units as part of XU's thematic goal on governance under its Research and Social Outreach cluster.
