ORGANIZED EXIT. Philip Flores, coordinator of the Xavier Ecoville Project of Xavier University, tells the XE residents that the series of block consultations will help the community to be "more organized and prepared" as part of the management's imminent exit. Photo by Niña Bea Cadorna.

A vital component of their exit management strategy, the Xavier Ecoville Project (XEP) conducted its first series of block consultations with the residents held at the Maybank Community Center Friday, February 12.

The consultations drew together the household heads to discuss XEP’s 2016 exit strategic plan, land titling status and the final community validation requirements. The residents also brought up and clarified their other concerns in the community.

“We have decided to conduct this activity so that you will be more organized and prepared as we exit from the community,” XEP coordinator Philip Flores said during his presentation.

More than seventy residents from various blocks attended the consultations. There are six remaining block consultations to be held every Friday night starting this month up to April.

A resettlement village located in Barangay Lumbia, Xavier Ecoville has a total of 567 households that make up the 28 blocks.
