After the successful run of the Xavier Ecoville Leadership Program (XELP), participants shared their reflection and hopes on how to sustain their community.

In a closing ceremony on Feb 7 at the Manresa Tagbuan Center led by Xavier Ecoville Project (XEP) and Governance and Leadership Institute (GLI) of Xavier University, the leaders of Xavier Ecoville Homeowners Association (XEHA) received their certificates of completion.

The said activity also included a reflection session where the results of the 360 degree-evaluation were presented. They reflected on how to strengthen and sustain the leadership, cooperation and sense of community in Xavier Ecoville.

“It is through this program that XEHA has finalized its mission and vision which will guide us as we serve the community,” said Jean Casinabe, one of the program graduates.

“This program has prepared us to the years when the XEP team will finally leave us,” she added in her testimonial.

The one-year leadership program was anchored on the Bridging Leadership Framework of ownership, co-ownership, and co-creation, and was composed of two modules with follow-up sessions in between.

Stigmatine Fr Jufer Lopez emphasized, in his message during the thanksgiving mass, that XE leaders must emulate servant leadership of Jesus, “always listening to the will of the God, the Father.”

The management of this leadership program will continue to form part of the duties and responsibilities of the education committee of XEHA Board in the coming years.
