The Xavier Stage (TXS), a resident repertory theater company of Xavier University, presents their sixth theater season dubbed "Existential Experience" for the school year 2016-2017. This season includes Eljay Deldoc’s Si Maria Isabella at ang Guryon ng mga Tala (July), the Pre-Islamic Meranao adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (September), Edward Perez’s Barracks ni Tenyente Fuego (December), and the advocacy version of Shakespeare’s Hamlet (February).

Directed by Hobart Savior, TXS' laboratory production, Eljay Deldoc’s Si Maria Isabella at ang Guryon ng mga Tala is a tale about taking chances and missed opportunities. The play, an adaptation of Francis Alfar’s Palanca Prize-winning short story Kite of Stars, is a poignant take on how far love can take us with exciting and dramatic twists and turns along the journey.

TXS is inviting everyone to watch the play, slated on July 22 and 23 with shows at 11AM, 3PM and 7:30PM. Admission is free. ∎
