The Goethe-Institut Philippines and Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan have jointly organized the Cagayan de Oro City leg of the 2016 Science Film Festival, slated from November 8 to December 3 in various partner venues.

The screening outlets are: XU Grade School campuses (Pueblo and Macasandig), XU Junior High School in Pueblo, Capitol University, University of Science and Technology of the Philippines (formerly MUST), Cagayan de Oro College - PHINMA, and Centrio Ayala Mall cinemas. The film screenings in Centrio will be held at cinemas 1 to 4 on November 23 at 7:30AM to 12NN and at 7:30AM to 12NN at Centrio Cinema 2 on November 24 and 25.

The Office of International Cooperation and Networking (OICN) and Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts (XCCA), XU’s organizing units of the event, would like to invite everyone to watch the films on Material Science produced in France, Germany, United Kingdom, and the Philippines.

All film screenings are open to the public for free.

This science film festival forms part of XCCA’s film education program under its artistic excellence thematic. The science films will also be shown during the forthcoming XU Festival Days on December 2 and 3. 

The Goethe-Institut is a non-profit German cultural association operational worldwide with 159 institutes, promoting the study of the German language abroad, science and technology, and encouraging international cultural exchanges and relations. ∎
