Film educators have an important role in shaping the ambitions and goals of aspiring filmmakers. To this end, the Film Development Council of the Philippines invites teachers, students, and enthusiasts in Northern Mindanao to the film education faculty symposium dubbed as “Planting Seeds: The Future of Philippine Cinema” at the XU Little Theater from May 8 to 9.

Featuring experts in the fields of filmmaking and the arts education, the two-day symposium aims to provide the participants with a film refresher course and updates on the said craft.  

Topics are as follows:
* Understanding Film Through Education;
* Creating Film Synergy in the Student Body; and
* Basic Tools: A Crash Course on Filmmaking for Educators.
