The Japan Foundation Manila, Lourdes College, and Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan bring to Cagayan de Oro multi-awarded Filipino and Japan-based jazz singer Charito together with renowned Japanese jazz musicians on January 21-22, 2019, as part of the Tokyo-Manila Jazz and Arts Festival (TMJAF) workshops and concerts. 

The workshops include Voice, Wind Instruments, Piano, Contrabass or Double Bass, and Drums. The workshops are free for musicians 15 years old and above who have basic and advanced knowledge on how to play the instruments mentioned above, and the voice workshop is open to skilled and talented singers.

With this, we would like to invite you, your students, faculty, staff, and members of your choirs or music organizations to join the various workshops. Each workshop has 25 slots available.

Xavier University Little Theater for VOICE

Xavier University AVR 8 for CONTRABASS and DOUBLE BASS

Lourdes College Auditorium for DRUMS

Lourdes College Music Department for PIANO and WIND INSTRUMENTS

Workshop applicants must be 15 years old and above and must have basic and advanced knowledge on how to play the instruments enumerated above. Applications will be selected and approved by the organizers from Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts (XCCA) and Lourdes College.
