With the rapidly changing and uncertain times, but through the sustained grace by Pope Leo XIV, Xavier Ateneo crafted its Renewed Laudato Si' University Plan, which serves as a roadmap that integrates the seven Laudato Si' Goals into the university's directions, priorities and core functions. It is a guide to understanding how Xavier Ateneo's foundational commitments are inextricably linked to the Jesuit mission of reconciliation and a shared vision for a more sustainable and just world. This is also timely as the university recently did its mid-term review
and stakeholders’ roadshow of its seven-year Laudato Si’ University journey.
The plan is structured around three key pillars: Environmental Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Ecological Conversion. The pillars represent Xavier Ateneo’s Laudato Si’ Framework as it aims to strategically embed the Laudato Si’ Goals into the university’s processes and operations.
This document also captures Xavier Ateneo’s recent and present transformative journey to fully becoming a Laudato Si’ University. By sharing these stories of successes and challenges, Xavier Ateneo aims to inspire and collaborate with other stakeholders along the journey.
