A primary concern on the enforcement of social distancing measures inside various modes of public transportation was given attention to by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) as the rising number of cases prompted stricter measures by the national and local government units. 

Issued on March 23, this executive order enumerates the different sitting capacity and passenger arrangements of public transportation in the city. 

The executive order also calls for the formulation of fiscal incentives by the City Social Welfare and Development Department to cushion the expected income loss of affected individuals.
