To prevent the sharp rise of COVID-19 cases in the country, the president adopted the recommendations of the Inter-Agency Task Force sub-Technical Working Group (IATF sTWG) on Data Analytics which classified provinces, highly urbanized cities, and independent component cities into low-, moderate-, and high-risk areas. 

From June 1 until June 15, Cagayan de Oro and the entire Region-X will be classified as a low-risk area under the Modified General Community Quarantine according to Resolution No. 40 of the IATF.
