The IATF Resolution No. 40, Series of 2020 classifies the province of Misamis Oriental as a low-risk area for COVID-19 surge. Consequently, the resolution placed the province under the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ). 

This Executive Order by the provincial governor details the minimum public health standards to be observed in Misamis Oriental with respect to the MGCQ. An important part of this EO is the opening of several establishments and gatherings with 50% capacity allowance.
