As of June 14, there are 25,930 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines. As one of the Highly Urbanized Cities, Cagayan de Oro followed precautionary measures and protocols in order to reduce the risk of community transmissions.
Identified as a low-risk area, Cagayan de Oro CIty was placed under the Modified General Community Quarantine from the previous IATF Resolution No. 40. This resolution retains the classification for the city until June 30, 2020.
Cagayan de Oro City will still abide by the minimum public health standards with respect to the MGCQ. An important part of this resolution is the call for the local government units to scale up the local health system capacity, especially for community isolation and critical care.
