This Valentine season, MAERS invites you to dive into nature’s most fascinating relationships — from protecting our ocean’s gentle giants to uncovering the bizarre story between parasites and their hosts! 

Join us for “From Hearts of the Sea to Deadly Affection”, a Valentine Special Bio Talk featuring two exciting sessions that will make you fall in love with science, conservation, and the wild side of nature.

Because in the natural world… love isn’t always sweet, but it’s always interesting.

Xavier University – McKeough Marine Center, together with ICC Philippines, XU-BiophilicSociety, and the Biology Department, will be holding its Annual Coastal Cleanup, as partof the International Coastal Cleanup Day celebration. The XU McKeough Marine Center is happy to announce that the Marine Camp 2020 application is now officially open!

Calling all Xavier Ateneo Senior High School students (Grade 11-12) to join this five-day camp (March 30- April 3) which will consist of interactive lecture-discussions, field trips, and other fun-filled activities related to the marine environment and conservation.

Join us, as we conduct another dive into the wonders of marine life!

Mckeough Marine Center in partnership with Biophilic Society, is launching the recycled TARP BAG DRIVE. This initiative aims to help mitigate disposed tarpaulins through innovative recycling. Various designs of bags made of recycled tarpaulins will be on sale for the community. This is part of the University-wide advocacy to reduce, reuse and recycle plastic materials. Proceeds of the sale will be used for environmentally-friendly projects of the student organization.
