Rationale: 

The Student Volunteer Program at Xavier University – McKeough Marine Center is designed to promote service, leadership, and community engagement among students. This program aims to allow the students to contribute positively to the center, university, and its surrounding community, enhancing their personal and professional development. 

Objectives:

1. To encourage students to take on leadership roles and responsibilities to prepare them for their future careers and community roles;
2. To instill a sense of social responsibility and community involvement;
3. To provide experiences that will contribute to the personal development of the students such as empathy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; and,
4. To assist in various events and activities in MMC that will help in ensuring the success and smooth operations.
