Contributors: Biology and Marine Biology Students
Rationale: The 3rd-and-4th year Marine Biology and Biology students were recently engaged in a comprehensive field work through the Service Learning Program (SLP). The practical application took place in selected coastal areas of Laguindingan and Alubijid, Misamis Oriental, aiming to provide hands-on experience complementing their academic studies. The practical application was assisted by Biology Laboratory Technician and MMC Staff.
These experiences underscore Xavier University’s commitment to practical, experiential learning and its role in fostering well-rounded professionals prepared to tackle real-world challenges in coastal resource management and biodiversity conservation.
