Admissions and Enrollment General Procedure

Admissions

Step 1: Present Transcript of Records @ OPTA

Step 2: Take and Pass XU Entrance Examination @ Testing Center

Step 3: Inquire Entrance Exam Test Results online at http://apply.xu.edu.ph/users/exam_results and follow instructions given

Step 4: Eligible applicants access and create Online Application account at http://apply.xu.edu.ph

4.1 Fill in Personal Information

4.2 Attach scanned copies of the following:

(Incomplete documents will not be processed)

a. Good Moral Character from Student Affairs of previous school

b. NSO Birth Certificate

c. Transfer Credentials/Honorable Dismissal (for Transferees)

d. NSO issued Marriage Contract (for female married student)

e. Parents/Guardian Valid ID with Address or Proof of Billing Address

Step 5: Applicants will be notified via email on their application status

Enrollment

Step 1: Present printed Admissions Offer Letter and Pay down payment & other fees (medical and dental, placement exams) at the Finance Office

Step 2: Present receipt from Finance to XU Clinic for Medical and Dental checkup

Step 3: Submit Hard Copies of the following at the Registrar’s Office:

a. Original and Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate (Original copy will be returned after verification)

b. Transfer Credential/Honorable Dismissal (for Transferees)

c. Original and Photocopy of NSO issued Marriage Contract (for female married student). Original copy will be returned after verification.

d. Department of Education (DepEd) Certificate of eligibility for admission to college. (For Students who completed High School/Graduate School outside of the Philippines).

e. Submit Good Moral Character @ Office of Student Affairs

f. Clearance slip from XU Clinic

Step 4: Take exam for the following:

1. English Placement Test at the English Department

2. Psychological Exam at the Counseling Office

Step 5: Proceed to CISO for SLMIS Account Creation

Step 6: Interview with the College Dean

Step 7: Get Study Load from College Evaluator and verify courses taken through SLMIS account.

Post Enrollment

Step 1: Proceed to Book Center for ID processing

Step 2: Attend ORSEM

Step 3: Present orientation clearance signed by the Office of Student Affairs and Guidance & Counseling Office for release of ID and XU Handbook

  1. Bring and present your career examination result @ STC ICT lab for career counselling
  2. Get priority number for counselling
  3. After career counselling, go back to your online application for Senior High School
  4. Choose a strand and click submit
  5. Wait for an offer letter to be sent thru your email
  6. Print and present offer letter @ Finance Office and pay commitment fee
  7. Proceed with the enrollment process for Senior High School

Schedule for Enrolment:

  • Regular Enrolment Period: April 19 - 22; April 24-29; May 4-13
  • Late Enrolment Period: May 15-30

Step 1 Screening of Documents

(at Registrar's Office Windows 14A, 14B, 15A, 15B, 16A and 16B)

  • Proceed to the Screening Station/Information Lane and have the following documents evaluated by the person in-charge:
    • Original Grade 10 Report Card
    • Original copy of good moral certificate
    • Certificate of junior high school completion
    • ESC certificate letter (ESC grantees only)
    • QVR Certificate (Qualified applicants only)
    • Clear photocopy of the following:
      • NSO-authenticated Birth Certificate
      • NSO-authenticated Marriage Contract for female students (if applicable)

Note: Processing of enrollment will not be completed unless all requirements are submitted.

Step 2 Finance Office

  • Present printed offer letter and pay down payment and/or present tuition exemption slip (for scholars) at the Finance Office. You will be issued enrolment form, medical/dental record, and a campus map as your handy guide. For those who have already paid the commitment fee/down payment, please proceed to a special lane for this purpose.

Step 3 Infirmary/XU Clinic

  • Proceed to XU Clinic for medical and dental clearance.

Step 4 Registrar (AVR 1 Lobby)

  • Proceed to Registrar and submit the remaining required documents specified in step 1.

Step 5 Strand Coordinator 

  • Proceed to Strand Coordinator and get your printed class assignment.
  • Regular Enrolment Period:

  • Late Enrolment Period:
    • Office of the AP for Academics

Step 6 ID Processing 

  • Proceed to ID processing area at the AVR 1 (Board Room) and present your SHS Enrolment Process Form to the processing clerk.

Post Enrolment

As a bona fide XUSHS student, you are required to attend the Senior High Orientation Seminar (ORSEM) on May 31 to June 2. Attendance to the ORSEM is a requirement for claiming your student ID from the Office of Student Affairs.

A Parents Orientation will be held on June 17. Election of Parent-Teacher Association officers, submission of the conforme page of the student handbook and the distribution of class requirements, schedule of school activities and subject outline will take place at the orientation. (NB: if unable to attend, parent must see the class moderator before the prelim exam).

Grade 12

Schedule for Enrolment: May 4-30,2017

Step 1: The student gets his/her report card from the Office of the AP for Academics at SBM Building, room 307A.

Step 2: The AP for Academics will issue the re-admission slip for June 2017, section and class schedule or enrolment slip for Summer School.

Step 3 : The student presents the slip to the Finance Office for the required downpayment.

Step 4: The student proceeds to the Registrar's Office for term activation.
