The Center of Excellence for Review and Training Services (CERTS) has donated books on business administration, management and accountancy to Xavier University to support students in their review sessions.

XU president Fr Roberto “Bobby”  C Yap SJ and CERTS chief executive officer Eduardo C Cuenca CPA, together with XU School of Business and Management dean Dr Ruth Love V Russel and XU Libraries director Estrella Cabudoy, signed the memorandum of understanding for the said donation.

“This is a big help for us. We have produced a number of CPA topnothers over the years and certainly, we need support like this for our students, especially those who want to go through in-house review classes. We are grateful for this donation,” Fr Bobby said.

Based in Davao City, CERTS is an educational institution conducting review classes for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam takers and they have satellite offices across the Philippines and abroad.

“This is not the first time that we have made donations to universities and we are happy to be able to help students through these books,” said Norman I Amerol CPA, CERTS review admin officer.

“The MOU will run for two years which can still be renewed but we will be continuously supporting programs through providing updated books and review softwares to our partners,” he added.

Aside from review classes, CERTS also offer review materials and internationally-recognized certification for accounting staff, accounting technician and bookkeepers, among others.
